Born and raised in the Middle East, Chef Asma’s upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for the richness and diversity of cuisines. Despite holding degrees in Genetics and Environmental Biotechnology, her heart was always in the kitchen.
Chef Asma’s journey led her to Memphis, where she dedicated years to nurturing her family while exploring her passion for cooking. When faced with the choice between pursuing a Ph.D. and realizing her dream of becoming a food entrepreneur, she fearlessly chose the latter. The pandemic served as a catalyst, propelling her to action as she sought to make a difference in her community.
From volunteering at soup kitchens to launching initiatives like the Winter Hygiene and Coat Drive, Chef Asma’s commitment to serving others became the cornerstone of her mission. She embarked on a culinary venture, blending traditional recipes with modern flair, and sharing her creations through blogging and social media.
In 2022, Spice Moghul LLC was born—a testament to Chef Asma’s dedication to culinary excellence. From catering and cooking classes to an online marketplace offering exotic spice blends, teas, chocolates, and desserts, Spice Moghul offers a feast for the senses.
